Overview
Rogue Fitness is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team at the Westbelt facility in Columbus, OH. The Maintenance Technician will support and promote a team environment using effective communication and technical skills while constantly striving to maintain a goal of zero downtime. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum operational reliability across heavy production machinery, automated systems, and plant facilities.

This position is designed for an experienced industrial technician capable of managing high-stress equipment breakdowns, executing preventive maintenance, and maintaining peak plant efficiency. Candidates must possess strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, physical stamina for a demanding industrial environment, and the flexibility to work extended hours and weekends to support operational demands.

Pay Range: $32/hr - $45/hr

Additional 10% premium for 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting: Perform rapid diagnostic assessments and repairs on active production equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventive maintenance routines on complex manufacturing machinery—including CNC systems, laser cutting platforms, automated conveyance, robotic welding cells, and powder coating lines—to minimize unplanned downtime

• Equipment Installation & Setup: Assist engineering and operations teams with the installation, precision alignment, setup, and modification of production machinery

• Facility Utility Support: Maintain essential plant infrastructure, including compressed air systems, high-voltage electrical distribution, industrial HVAC, plumbing, and structural elements

• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce and strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, arc flash safety guidelines, and company safety procedures

• Work Order Documentation: Maintain detailed records of completed work orders, technical maintenance logs, spare parts inventory usage, and root-cause failure analyses

• Emergency Response: Provide prompt technical support and resolution during emergency equipment outages

Qualifications

• Industrial Experience: 3+ years of direct maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting. (Note: Experience limited to commercial facility maintenance or residential trades will not qualify)

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with 480V 3-phase power systems, AC motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), relay logic, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

• Schematic Literacy: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, mechanical engineering drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic fluid power diagrams

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly, work in non-climate-controlled plant conditions, stand for extended periods, and operate safely at heights or in confined spaces

• Schedule Availability: Ability and willingness to work long shifts, extended hours, and mandatory weekend schedules as required by plant production volumes

• Preferred Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Trumpf or comparable laser cutting systems; familiarity with optics alignment, assist gas systems, and dust extraction units
