Job Description Summary
As Maintenance System Manager at Dauch, you will be involved in driving the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems, processes, and performance across the organization. You will collaborate with Dauch's corporate and local maintenance teams to ensure that company assets are standardized and working in alignment with the priorities, plans, and values of Dauch.
The ideal candidate for this role will be based at Dauch's World Headquarters location in Detroit, and is willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time, as required.
Job Description:
- Drives deployment, administration, and advancement of Dauch maintenance standards (M4) according to company objectives, operational demands, and other business conditions
- Audits the proficiency of maintenance systems deployed in the manufacturing sites through interpretation of data, performance indicators, physical evidence, and other criteria included in the M4 operating system
- Communicates maintenance objectives, priorities, results, and other relative information to operational leaders throughout the organization
- Initiates problem-solving with local maintenance teams on significant issues related to machine performance, spare parts, work completion, cost, etc.
- Coordinates major maintenance activities and holiday shutdown plans of regional operations with corporate leadership
- Interviews, evaluates, and coaches maintenance associates according to relative needs
- Effectively uses data for analysis, communication, and verification of maintenance effectiveness
- Provides on-site/virtual support for M4 follow-up, manufacturing issues, launches, workshops, and other activities, as necessary
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- 10+ years of operational experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of maintenance management, including roles of supervision & planning
- Four-year degree in a technical or managerial area of study
- Knowledgeable on data, indicators, processes, targets, etc. related to maintenance & asset management
- Possesses strong interpersonal and leadership skills toward resolving conflicts, influencing peers, and delivering feedback
- Promotes behaviors and mindsets of collaboration, continuous improvement, and creativity
- Motivated, proactive, and self-directed in their approach to current responsibilities & future needs
- Adept at preparing and effectively communicating maintenance information in digital formats to a variety of audiences including creating, editing, and presenting information with MS Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
