Maintenance Specialist.Purpose: Plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and compliance of manufacturing equipment at the Raritan site. Leveraging extensive expertise in equipment repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance, this position supports the development and execution of strategies to maintain high standards of quality and operational efficiency. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting audits, and working closely with vendors to uphold strict regulatory and safety standards, all while embodying Johnson & Johnson's Leadership Imperatives and Credo.
You will be responsible for:- Utilizes broad Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance expertise to help devise practical solutions to tasks that are typically not routine.
- Supports area audits to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of repair and manufacturing solutions.
- Assists efforts to oversee and audit front-line tasks for the support function of the Production Equipment Repair & Maintenance unit to ensure compliance and accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Helps coordinate the technical implementation, modification, and ongoing monitoring of the quality, safety, and efficiency of equipment.
- Provides support for key strategy sessions to help develop Repair and Maintenance schematics for the rollout of new and improved repair and maintenance processes, tools, and equipment.
- Provides support for technical problems, monitoring indicators of equipment and machinery performance.
- Coordinates work with vendors for the execution of maintenance/calibration of assets.
- Executes preventive maintenance (PMs) and calibrations (Cal) as applicable.
- Applies Johnson & Johnson's Leadership Imperatives and Credo.
Qualifications / Requirements:- High School Diploma, diploma, or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- High School Diploma with over 10 years of manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting within regulated manufacturing environments such as biopharma or biotech. Cell Therapy experience is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement systems, and maintenance practices specific to manufacturing equipment.
- Experience working in environments requiring strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Proven track record of supporting calibration and maintenance activities in high-precision, controlled environments, such as Grade A, B, or C manufacturing zones.
- Experience working with calibration management systems (e.g., CMMS) and data analysis tools to document activities and monitor equipment performance.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, GMP) and validation protocols relevant to calibration and maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated ability to support audits and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- This position is scheduled for First Shift, Sunday through Thursday, and requires on-site support to meet production and operational needs.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$63,000.00 - $101,430.00
