Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
    • Assign tasks and ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to schedule.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills.
  2. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance.
    • Schedule routine maintenance tasks and inspections to ensure the reliability and safety of equipment.
    • Coordinate with production and operations teams to plan maintenance activities around production schedules.
  3. Equipment Troubleshooting and Repair:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes.
    • Coordinate repair activities and procure necessary parts and materials.
    • Ensure that repairs are conducted safely and effectively to minimize downtime.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for maintenance staff.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing maintenance activities.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting expenses and controlling costs.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations.
    • Track expenditures and analyze variances to ensure financial targets are met.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory.
    • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance metrics, and budgetary spending.
    • Communicate regularly with management and stakeholders to provide updates on maintenance operations.
