Full Job Description
Location: Bedford Park, IL Workplace type: Onsite This role is critical to maximizing asset reliability and maintenance execution by leading maintenance planning, scheduling, cost control, and work management processes. The Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager drives operational efficiency through disciplined work management, data integrity, resource optimization, and cross-functional alignment. As a Maintenance & Reliability Planning Manager, you will own the maintenance work management system and lead planning, scheduling, backlog management, and maintenance cost control activities. This position ensures maintenance work is prioritized, properly planned, fully resourced, and executed efficiently to support asset availability, reliability, and business performance. This role report to the Senior Manager of Maintenance, Reliability, & Utilities and oversees a team of 9. What you will do: • Lead and optimize the maintenance work management system, including planning, scheduling, backlog, and notification processes. • Drive planning and scheduling discipline to ensure realistic, prioritized, and fully resourced maintenance schedules. • Govern CMMS/SAP-PM standards and ensure the accuracy of work orders, maintenance history, resource allocation, and cost tracking. • Manage maintenance backlogs and prioritize work based on asset criticality, operational requirements, and business risk. • Own maintenance cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and effective utilization of labor, materials, and contracted services. • Coordinate maintenance, operations, reliability, and supply chain teams to support efficient execution of work plans. • Develop planner and scheduler capabilities while driving continuous improvement and adherence to maintenance management standards. What you will bring: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; supply chain or operations specialization is a plus. • 6-10 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, maintenance operations, or a related industrial environment. • 3-5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance planning and scheduling functions. • Strong experience with CMMS/SAP-PM systems, maintenance planning, scheduling, and backlog management. • Experience with maintenance budgeting, cost control, resource planning, and performance management. Relocation Available: Yes, Within Country Pay Range: $102,100.00-$136,166.67 Annual This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any). Incentive Compensation: As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
