What role you will play in our teamThe Maintenance Planner is responsible for knowing safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements, work selection criteria (reviews notifications on quality and priority to assure correct understanding of scope, needed budget and feasible LACD). Has strong work planning, estimating, procurement practices, business practices and controls, contractors interface awareness. The development of qualitative job packs (including detailed work steps, identification of needed contractor scope and manpower, cost estimate, material list, inspection requirements, operational procedures and P&ID's), etc. Uses good judgement to address basic to moderately complex challenges and works independently with minimal instruction and prioritizes own work.
What you will doResponsibilities for the Maintenance Planner include:
- Apply planning logic, such as, lead, lag, critical path and milestones. Is aware of the limitation associated with working in units in operation
- Demonstrate good leadership skills in Work Team meetings to remove barriers and steward action items and cost profile to work plan and cost estimates
- Plan maintenance job and develops resource plan with Scheduler, Execution lead, and Operations across all disciplines
- Apply advanced functions of Planning & Estimating Tools
- Provide input to maintenance work Contracting / Procurement strategy and stewards to that plan
- Provide input into material of construction selection and management
- Identify execution risks and able to organize and lead risk analyses meetings and kick-off meetings for complex jobs. Assures a timely and accurate job pack handover to execution leads
- Completes material-, services- and work order coordination based on the work processes. Coordinates reservation of material in the warehouse, requisitioning of material and contractor services and expediting on long delivery materials
About youSkills and Qualifications:- A high school degree or equivalent GED
- A minimum of three years' experience planning maintenance job and developing resource plans
Preferred Qualifications/Experience- Experience using SAP
- Experience developing qualitative job packs, cost estimates, material lists and inspection requirements.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
