Responsible for tracking equipment and components, creating weekly maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance to the planned maintenance program through the work management system, and organizing resources to ensure planned work is completed safely and efficiently.

Shift: 14 days on and 14 off. 12 hour shifts.

Travel: Client provided flights to/from Edmonton or Calgary

Responsibilities
What You’ll be doing
Maintaining accurate list of equipment on site
- Keeps equipment database in JDE current
- Track daily equipment hour meter readings
- Updates Maintenance records with current Service and PM status
- Ensures regulatory documentation is current
Work Order Management
- Creates work orders as required
- Manages Work order backlog
- Ensures open work orders meet required standard, and status is kept up to date
Oil Sampling Program
- Prepares samples for analysis and reviews results and generates follow-up actions as required
- Review and apply on board equipment monitoring data to identifying
Component Tracking
- Updates component records; maintains accurate component history
- Updates component failure tracking system
- Identifies warranty opportunities and prepares background information for warranty claims.
Weekly Maintenance Schedule
- Responsible for developing and communicating the Weekly Maintenance plan in conjunction with maintenance supervision.
- Ensure resources are in place to perform the planned work (Parts, Labour, shop space etc.)
- Monitors compliance to plan, and reconciles plan vs actual
- Monitors progress of actual planned work through shop and field visits
- Generates weekly and monthly plan compliance statistics
Job Planning
- Prepares job plans for planned work
- Organizes resources in advance to ensure efficient execution of planned work
- Orders parts for planned and found work as required
Administrative Support
- Generate weekly and monthly reports as required
- Support clerical staff in data entry and work order administration
General
- Complete adhoc reports and projects as requested
- Maintain a safe work environment in regards to all maintenance work
- Provide direction to junior planners and aide in personal development
Qualifications
What Makes You The One
- Minimum one year experience relating to maintenance
- Industrial construction and/or mining experience preferred
- Mechanical related secondary education (Diploma or Degree)
- Capable of both strategic and tactical thinking with a drive to meet quality, cost and schedule targets
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detailed working knowledge of planning tools (JD Edwards, MS Office Package, etc)

Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:

- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
