Job Title:

Maintenance Planner

Summary:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient execution of maintenance work orders and optimizing processes. Reporting to the Engineering Facilities Manager, this role collaborates with Operations, Reliability, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to maintain SAP-PM system integrity and drive continuous improvement. The position plays a key role in enhancing reliability and operational efficiency.

Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage purchase orders, invoice receipts, parts procurement, and resources to ensure completion of planned maintenance
  • Plan work orders (routine, shutdown, etc..), efficiently breaking them down by operation line item to ensure accurate planning and communicating when ready for scheduling
  • Ensure the work is fully scoped, all parts and services secured (kitting) from internal and external resources, following through to ensure safe and on-time completion
  • Support Maintenance and Operations Team Leaders with repair, replacement, and preventative/predictive maintenance work oversight and coordination
  • Assist Maintenance Team Leaders with work assignments and supervision as well as Maintenance Scheduler for Contractor Scheduling
  • Participate in plant environmental, health, and safety programs
  • Review and approve MOC's, incorporating these changes into the maintenance planning function
  • Facilitate and lead maintenance planning meetings to coordinate all maintenance planning and communicate maintenance activities


Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance/construction planner/coordinator, maintenance leader, or relevant experience
  • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate cross-functional teams in maintenance planning activities
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision and accomplish tasks within required timeframes
  • Demonstrated documentation process and procedure adherence • Good working knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using SAP-PM or similar for work order functions, parts and materials ordering, goods and services requisitioning, finding vendor information
  • Experience coordinating maintenance services from an external vendor or construction contractor


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science technical degree
  • 5 years or more of experience as a maintenance planner in an industrial manufacturing facility
  • 2 or more years of experience with SAP PM with strong knowledge of all aspects of work order functions, parts, materials, and service requisitioning
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to translate skills into effective maintenance work plans
  • Experience working with a unionized workforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to use skills for large data analysis and manipulation
  • Strong desire to embrace new technologies, master, and apply toward more efficient and effective execution of maintenance planning processes

What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $72,200 - $105,930

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
