Full Job Description
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance work to ensure plant equipment and systems operate safely, reliably, and at full capacity. This role serves as the key link between production and maintenance, ensuring work is properly scoped, resourced, scheduled, and executed efficiently.

responsibilities:
  • Provide technical solutions and expertise in engineering and maintenance for milk receiving, separators, membrane filtration, and CIP systems. Serve as a top resource and technical expert for plant processing equipment.
  • Partner with equipment and maintenance technicians to grow the overall technical knowledge and performance of equipment.
  • Support production with advanced equipment troubleshooting.
  • Engineer solutions to improve overall equipment reliability.
  • Determine root cause of reliabilities failures and implement measures to prevent future events.
  • Analyze machine efficiency and reliability data to identify opportunities for improving performance.
  • Train maintenance and equipment technicians to grow overall technical capabilities.
  • Preform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

skills/qualifications required:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a maintenance planning, with in-depth knowledge of industrial mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in CMMS platforms, Microsoft Office, and related project planning or scheduling software
  • Ability to read and interpret vendor manuals, technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
  • Strong commitment to safety, standard work, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to work autonomously toward defined goals with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrated root cause problem-solving skills and the ability to implement sustainable solutions
  • Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously

working conditions and physical requirements:
  • 12 hours sitting/standing/walking around the production floor
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs of materials
  • Reaching/bending requirements including climbing ladders or elevated areas
  • Hand dexterity for operating machinery or computer systems
  • Exposure to hazards (machinery noise, confined spaces, chemical handling, etc.)
  • Wearing PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and slip-resistant boots
  • Specific atmospheric conditions and environmental factors
  • Any other physical requirements including desk work, meetings, and data entry

food safety requirements:
  • Notify leadership of any repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required
