The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for all production maintenance, including repair and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment. This role involves applying mechanical expertise in determining work methods and procedures for producing quality product.
Responsibilities:- Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment
- Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment
- Able to use all equipment and machinery, and understand and read all schematics and drawings, related to the trade requirements
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair and improve all active and new machinery and equipment without supervision
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required for maintenance and setup of machines
- Ensure operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modification and installations
- Committed to continuous improvement on machinery, equipment and processes, via preventative and predictive maintenance on production and production supporting equipment
- Ensure accurate and up to date CMMS work order data entry and completion
- Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
- Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
- Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to troubleshoot causes of problems
- Has an exemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety and company policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GED
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals
- Strong understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
- Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshoot independently
- Strong trouble shooting skills with a commitment to deadlines and the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a cooperative environment
- Ability to train others - Apprentices
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
Schedule:- This position is from 6am to 4pm, Tuesday through Friday.
- Schedule is subject to change as Mauser Langley is a 24/7 facility.
Pay:The range for this position is $37.46 - 48.00 per hour. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and work location.
