We are seeking an experienced, passionate and result-driven Maintenance Manager to join our Lassonde Beverages Canada facility in Toronto, reporting to the Plant Manager. This role will focus on strategic leadership, change management, operational excellence and team development. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader who can build maintenance systems, improve workforce competencies, implement best practices, and drive a culture of accountability, reliability, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
This individual will play a key role in modernizing maintenance operations and bringing the department to the next level through leadership, training, and process optimization.

Key activities - Provide strategic directions to the maintenance department by overseeing all aspects of maintenance planning, continuous improvement initiatives and preventative maintenance (PM) pillar to ensure a reliable maintenance system and maximize uptime and reliability.
- Drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on reliability, efficiency, and accountability.
- Develop, drive, monitor, and analyze maintenance KPIs to measure department performance, identify trends, and implement actions that improve equipment reliability, uptime, and overall maintenance effectiveness.
- Audit the quality of maintenance work to ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed effectively, safely and in a timely manner.
- Facilitate problem solving to help resolve technical issues and provide support on advanced technical problems
- Conduct competency assessments and skill gap analyses to identify skill development opportunities within the maintenance team.
- Develop structured training programs and technical development plans for maintenance staff.
- Work with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and conduct work order analysis as well as audit the system to ensure accuracy.
- Support capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Production, Quality, Safety and Engineering teams.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for maintenance staff, provide input on candidate evaluations, and support the effective onboarding and training of new hires.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the maintenance department and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
Required training and experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or related field.
- Industrial Electrician License 442A and/or Industrial Millwright Mechanic License 433A is an asset.
- Strong technical background in maintenance systems, reliability, troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated success leading change management initiatives and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including design, use, repair and maintenance.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with data analysis and maintenance KPI's.
