Full Job Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role drives corrective, preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs, minimizes downtime, and supports production goals through effective leadership, continuous improvement, machinery reliability and resource management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage preventive, predictive, condition-based and reliability maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance activities for all production equipment and facilities, assuring close communication with the operation counter peers to optimize intervention times and increase up time.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance Coordinators, Supervisors, Technicians, Electricians, and Mechanics to achieve departmental goals.
  • Analyze equipment failures, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, contractors, spare parts, and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work to support production requirements.
  • Collaborate with all areas to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in heavy manufacturing, steel, metals, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Experience with preventive, predictive, condition-based and reliability maintenance programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive reliability improvements.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and spare parts inventory.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.
