Full Job Description
We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Maintenance Manager to oversee our Maintenanceteam to help support our Carpet Underlay business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will have the opportunity to assist and plan projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet underlay. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that our facility's machines are operating safely and efficiently. The team you will be overseeing and working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, and values great workmanship.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Manager?
  • Lead, coach, and develop an established maintenance team, building a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence
  • Oversee all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency
  • Plan and execute maintenance and capital projects that enhance manufacturing processes
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance schedules
  • Partner cross-functionally with production and engineering teams to solve complex equipment challenges
  • Champion safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using power tools (grinders, drills, saws, drill press)
  • Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, sprockets, and chains
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Experience operating or willingness to become certified on lift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts (train-the-trainer certification a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
  • Commitment to safety and dependable attendance
  • Must supply own tools
  • Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional Saturdays
  • Working knowledge of CMMS
  • Functional knowledge of utilities - boilers, air compressors, air dryers, and lighting
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, including troubleshooting and modifications

Things We Consider a Plus:
  • Experience operating lift trucks, scissor lifts, or aerial lifts
  • Electrical certification
  • Welding experience

Salary: $75,000 to $120,000 DOE
