OverviewThis role is responsible for overseeing maintenance teams across three shifts and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, equipment uptime, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S and OSHA standards
- Manage maintenance leads, technicians, and support staff across three shifts and two facilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations to achieve targets in safety, quality, downtime, cost, and efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and training in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including PLC/CNC systems
- Develop, implement, and sustain preventive, predictive, and TPM programs
- Coordinate maintenance planning, scheduling, and MRO inventory management (experience with CMMS systems such as TabWare or equivalent preferred)
- Partner with plant leadership and senior executives to ensure consistency across shifts and sites
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean/Kaizen events and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
- Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life
- Support plant budget development and manage maintenance and energy costs
- Assist with capital projects, including equipment installation and facility improvements
- Ensure facility maintenance standards, including grounds and housekeeping, are upheld
- Conduct regular team meetings to review plant performance, goals, and improvement opportunities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities in electrical, PLC/CNC, and mechanical systems
- Demonstrated experience in project management and equipment installation/moves
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience in woodworking or cabinet manufacturing is a strong plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- 7+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
