Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance teams across three shifts and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, equipment uptime, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S and OSHA standards
  • Manage maintenance leads, technicians, and support staff across three shifts and two facilities
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations to achieve targets in safety, quality, downtime, cost, and efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance and training in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including PLC/CNC systems
  • Develop, implement, and sustain preventive, predictive, and TPM programs
  • Coordinate maintenance planning, scheduling, and MRO inventory management (experience with CMMS systems such as TabWare or equivalent preferred)
  • Partner with plant leadership and senior executives to ensure consistency across shifts and sites
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean/Kaizen events and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
  • Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life
  • Support plant budget development and manage maintenance and energy costs
  • Assist with capital projects, including equipment installation and facility improvements
  • Ensure facility maintenance standards, including grounds and housekeeping, are upheld
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review plant performance, goals, and improvement opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • 7+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
