Salary: CAD $100,000 - $122,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus bonus eligibility.
Role OverviewThe Maintenance Manager leads maintenance activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements. This role drives equipment reliability and continuous improvement through preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and operational support. The position provides leadership for maintenance personnel, develops maintenance processes and procedures, and supports facility performance through effective planning and execution. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead maintenance operations by ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, mechanical integrity, and maintenance standards across the facility.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs, inspection routes, maintenance procedures, and equipment reliability systems.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance personnel while supporting skill development, performance management, and departmental effectiveness.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and corrective action implementation to identify and eliminate chronic equipment and process failures.
- Plan, coordinate, and support facility outages, maintenance projects, and equipment improvement initiatives to maximize operational performance.
- Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation, and equipment care programs while promoting housekeeping, 5S, and sanitation standards.
- Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to optimize equipment performance, improve maintenance processes, and achieve operational targets.
Required Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered as stated in the source job description.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of maintenance and/or reliability experience with industrial equipment and/or manufacturing systems, including 5-7 years of maintenance management experience.
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) license required.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, planning, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills, including experience with CAD, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications- Ontario Electrical Certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Fork truck license.
- Ability to work at heights using fall arrest equipment.
