Full Job Description
Supervises activities of maintenance supervisors within a single service department on multiple shifts to ensure the effective, timely provisions of quality services. Maintenance activities can range from janitorial, caretaker, manual maintenance work, carpentry, painting and plumbing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage all maintenance operations while promoting a strong safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with EHS, OSHA, EPA, PSM, RMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and oversee preventive, corrective, and compliance maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Manage mechanical integrity programs, including inspections of tanks, pressure vessels, safety devices, PSV systems, and compliance with RAGAGEP standards.
• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution activities to improve workflow efficiency, equipment performance, and overall plant reliability.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance teams, contractors, and technical personnel while ensuring training, performance management, and skill development.
• Manage contractor programs, including selection, coordination, performance oversight, safety compliance, and partnership with Procurement on service agreements.
• Plan and execute maintenance turnarounds, shutdowns, and major repair activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.
• Support CAPEX projects and long-term asset reliability strategies by collaborating with Engineering and cross-functional teams on equipment improvements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, SAP/ERP maintenance processes, cost forecasting, and resource planning to support operational goals.
• Partner with site leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis (RCA), reliability improvements, and long-term maintenance strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 3-5+ years of maintenance leadership experience is preferred; or 10+ years of equivalent maintenance leadership experience, preferably in the chemical process industry.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams, drive projects, build employee engagement, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Strong experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and maintenance best practices.
• Working knowledge of SAP or CMMS systems, Process Safety Management (PSM), and maintenance planning processes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical integrity standards and regulatory requirements, including API, ASME, NFPA, NEC, BPVC, STI, and UL standards preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, teams, and diverse backgrounds.
