Leedo Cabinets LLC is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our cabinet manufacturing facility in El Campo, Texas. This role will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance execution, safety performance, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Our operations produce thousands of cabinets each week utilizing highly automated woodworking, machining, finishing, assembly, and material handling systems. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team consisting of a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Technicians across three shifts, ensuring equipment uptime and operational excellence while supporting production goals.
This is a critical leadership position for a hands-on maintenance professional who thrives in a manufacturing setting and enjoys developing teams, solving complex equipment issues, and driving continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Leadership- Serve as a key leader in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams across three shifts and multiple facilities.
- Foster accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement within the maintenance organization.
- Conduct regular department meetings to communicate business objectives, plant performance, safety initiatives, and operational priorities.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadership to support plant goals.
Maintenance & Reliability- Lead all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
- Manage and continuously improve preventative maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
- Analyze equipment failures and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities to eliminate recurring issues.
- Ensure maintenance work orders, documentation, and asset management systems are properly maintained and utilized.
Planning & Budget Management- Manage maintenance planning and scheduling activities to maximize efficiency and minimize production interruptions.
- Oversee maintenance storeroom operations, MRO inventory, spare parts management, and tooling programs.
- Support and manage maintenance budgets while driving cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement programs that improve utility efficiency.
- Support capital planning, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and expansion projects.
Continuous Improvement- Participate in and lead Kaizen events and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance effectiveness, and manufacturing throughput.
- Develop and implement best practices, standard work, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
QualificationsRequired Experience- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Advanced PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls experience.
- Experience with CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrated success leading maintenance teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience implementing and managing PM, PdM, and TPM programs.
- Strong project management experience, including equipment installation, facility modifications, and machinery relocation.
- Proficiency with CMMS software systems such as TabWare, Great Plains, or equivalent maintenance management platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Experience- Experience within cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, millwork, building products, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of automated finishing systems and dust collection systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 7 years of leadership or supervisory experience leading maintenance teams.
- Experience supporting multiple shifts and large-scale manufacturing operations preferred.
