Job Summary

Oversee and perform maintenance in support of day-to-day operations and maintain the physical assets of the property.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical maintenance jobs as required.

  • Maintain all machinery and equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and in accordance with applicable federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

  • Ensure all preventive, predictive and other maintenance systems are adhered to and properly performed for all machinery, equipment and buildings.

  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.

  • Train and assist Maintenance Technicians and other more junior maintenance staff.

Required Experience:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience repairing any (3) or more of the following heavy machinery: stamping presses, brake presses, laser cutters, robotic welders, overhead cranes, and hi-los, as well as experience facilitating PM programs, implementing safety initiatives, and educating operators on machine maintenance and safety

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.

  • Installing and troubleshooting various systems skills.

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Knowledge of all MIOSHA and OSHA standards. '

  • Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position.

  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily

  • Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs

  • Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week

  • Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.

  • Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck). - Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers

  • Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards

  • Ability to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a related technical area.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$35.50 - $51.50 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
