Opening is for the Buckeye Aggregate plant in Buckeye, Arizona.

Job Summary
The Foreman is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of employees to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, and teamwork while prioritizing safety and ensuring that all state and federal rules and regulations are followed. They must also schedule and prioritize work activities to meet customer and production needs, ensure cost-effective operations, and proper utilization of all resources and equipment.

Essential Functions
• Direct and coordinate the activities of production and/or maintenance hourly employees to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, and teamwork.
• Ensure employees receive proper training and instructions to perform job duties.
• Direct and prioritize work activities of hourly production and/or maintenance employees.
• Schedule production requirements to support daily, weekly, and monthly sales forecasts to meet customer and production needs.
• Assume responsibility for the production of materials.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
• Ensure proper and efficient utilization of all resources and equipment.
• Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Work with SHE and Company officials to promote a safe work environment that meets all state and federal rules and regulations.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

• Processing Knowledge- Understands the material flow, crushing, screening and stockpiling process of an aggregate operation. Understands how to adjust plant settings for optimal production efficiency and troubleshoot inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

Education
• On the job training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in mining practices is required.

Experience
• Experience in the mining/construction industry is preferred with 5 years of work experience in supervision production employees is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge and understanding of an aggregate, asphalt, cement, or ready-mix plant operation.
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and/or MSHA rules and regulations.

Other Requirements
• Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Must have the ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with customers and the community in the performance of duties.
• Must be able to motivate and reward employees.
• Must have a valid driver's license and have excellent driving skills.

Hourly Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $40.00 - $44.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
