Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement of our maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment runs efficiently and safely-supporting production goals while driving long-term performance and cost control.
Position Overview As the
Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations while managing long-term strategies for equipment performance, preventive maintenance, and contractor partnerships. You'll bring a strong understanding of automation, robotics, and production systems-combined with excellent communication and leadership skills-to support a high-performing team and a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee and improve day-to-day operations of the maintenance team
- Develop and manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order systems
- Measure and track maintenance effectiveness and equipment performance metrics
- Optimize and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs
- Source and manage equipment suppliers, vendors, and external contractors
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely parts ordering and availability
- Collaborate with Production, QA, and Operations teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations
- Utilize engineering tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to support equipment layout, upgrades, or installations
- Support automation and robotics systems maintenance and troubleshooting
Qualifications - 5+ years of maintenance or engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong understanding of automated systems, robotics, and industrial equipment
- Proven experience managing PM schedules, parts procurement, and contractor relationships
- Comfortable with planning tools and CMMS systems
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Highly organized with strong communication and leadership skills
- Engineering background preferred (not required)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
