Job Description Summary

The primary focus of this position is to provide technical leadership and administration of maintenance and facility systems, including Maximo CMMS, BAS, and Calibration Management Systems. Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Safety teams, this role drives system effectiveness, asset reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting the efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Job Description

Accountability

  • Serves as Site Maximo System Administrator and business owner, responsible for system configuration, user administration, asset hierarchy management, preventive maintenance optimization, reporting, workflow support, data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee administration and performance of BAS and Calibration Management Systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, data integrity, and effective support of manufacturing operations.
  • Ensures maintenance systems, equipment, and processes comply with cGMP, OSHA, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates maintenance planning, work prioritization, contractor activities, and resource utilization to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
  • Leads equipment and system investigations, identifies root causes, and supports corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Provides maintenance engineering support for capital projects, equipment installations, new product introductions, FATs, process improvements, and PMO initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Information Technology teams to improve maintenance effectiveness, asset reliability, and operational performance.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections, customer audits, and quality system activities, including change control, investigations, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience and certifications required for the job

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Associate degrees in a technical discipline with relevant industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, reliability, asset management, or technical operations within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS administration, asset management systems, maintenance planning, and reliability improvement programs strongly preferred.


Knowledge

Proficiency in a body of information required for the job

e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.

Maintenance Systems & Asset Management Expertise:
  • Demonstrates expertise in maintenance systems and technologies including Maximo CMMS, Building Automation Systems (BAS), calibration management systems, asset management, maintenance planning, and engineering principles. Applies technical knowledge to improve reliability, compliance, and operational performance.

Working Conditions

Physical & mental requirements e.g. lift 40 pounds, walk across plant/warehouse, business travel (% of time), driving as part of work responsibilities, etc.

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular use of computers and maintenance systems. Frequent walking throughout the facility is required to inspect equipment, support maintenance activities, and oversee projects. The position requires occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting to 35 pounds. Must be able to wear required PPE and work safely around operating equipment. Occasional support of off-shift activities, audits, outages, emergency response, and project implementations may be required.

  • Develops and communicates maintenance system performance metrics, project status, budget requirements, and improvement opportunities to support business objectives.
