Position Overview:The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the plant's equipment operates safely, at the highest capacity, with the highest possible on-stream time, for the lowest long-term cost of ownership. The Maintenance Engineer will also manage projects, guide and instruct maintenance technicians, coordinate contractors, and plan/coordinate daily maintenance activities to meet production goals.
What you will be doing:- Support PHA process through implementation of application solutions to indicate known risks.
- Support the Process Information (PI) system to ensure environmental compliance records are maintained.
- Daily review of Process Information (PI) and Operator logs for any reactive maintenance.
- Serve as first point of contact for unresolved mechanical issues.
- Develop and monitor critical rotating equipment KPIs.
- Ability to use various troubleshooting techniques to solve problems, including root cause failure analysis.
- Serve as primary resource for sitewide Maintenance and Reliability and focus on short term maintenance improvements (0-18 months).
- Able to lead and complete small capital projects.
- Lead, execute, maintain, and improve Reliability programs, e.g., lubrication, vibration.
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses equipment failures according to Eco Services' guidelines.
- Be custodian and leader for the mechanical Preventative Maintenance program.
- Support the Work Order Planning and Scheduling process by developing and providing key metrics for PM work order status, completing P&S audits, etc.
- Execute Equipment Strategies/maintenance jobs as required, e.g., Main Gas Blower turbine overhaul.
- Support plant capital activities by performing maintenance reviews of new projects and developing preventative maintenance plans for capital installations.
- Lead, support, promote, improve, and enforce compliance, all HS&E, corporate/plant policies, procedures, performance standards and ISO/RC 14001

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a four-year college; Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desired by not required.
- 7+ years of relevant maintenance and reliability experience, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, or refinery production plants with emphasis on planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities.

- Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
- Able to demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in mechanical equipment; rotating equipment, heat exchangers and other fixed equipment.
- Able to demonstrate understanding of basic electrical and instrumentation concepts.
- API, ASME, ANSI Codes and Standards
- Formal Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) training/certification
- SAP experience
- Understanding of Maintenance/Process Technology to include vibration analysis, Lubrication, thermal imaging and temperature measurement, flow measurement,
- Ability to work with all levels of organization and sell ideas through presentations.
- Proven analytical troubleshooting/problem-solving skills; able to apply them to assess and improve equipment reliability.
- Strong, clear, and concise communication (written and verbal).
- Competent computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office programs and databases.
