Full Job Description
ITnova is seeking an experienced H-1 Maintenance Controller to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating daily aircraft maintenance activities, monitoring aircraft status, and ensuring maintenance actions are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience in aviation maintenance control, a thorough understanding of NAMP and maintenance management processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams to support aircraft readiness and mission requirements in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Directs and coordinates daily aircraft maintenance operations in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2, NAMP, and local maintenance control procedures.
  • Monitors aircraft status, discrepancies, inspections, and maintenance progress to ensure maximum readiness and availability.
  • Serves as the central coordination point between production, Quality Assurance, supply, operations, and supported squadrons, as assigned.
  • Reviews and validates maintenance actions for technical accuracy, completion status, and documentation compliance.
  • Ensures proper prioritization of maintenance tasks based on mission requirements, aircraft status, and resource availability.

Tracks aircraft, inspections, troubleshooting actions, and maintenance flow through completion.
  • Ensures accurate and timely updates in OOMA and related maintenance tracking systems.
  • Coordinates troubleshooting efforts and provides technical direction to work centers, as required.
  • Supports safe-for-flight certification processes by ensuring maintenance actions are complete, correct, and properly documented.
  • Participates in production meetings, maintenance briefings, and readiness reporting.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years aviation maintenance experience with rotary-wing experience required.
  • Prior experience in Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, production control, or as a senior CDI/CDQAR is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2, NAMP, and aviation maintenance operations is required.
  • Proficiency in OOMA and maintenance tracking systems is required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical publications, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Must be U.S. citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
  • Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
  • Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
  • If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks.
  • If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours.
  • If required, must be able to perform confined-space activities.
  • Travel may be required.
