Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
- Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe maintenance practices.
- Maintain compliance with ISO/IATF or other customer-specific requirements.
- Support audits and corrective action activities.
Maintenance Management- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for injection molding equipment, P.M's and plant utilities.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of:
- Injection molding machines
- Robots and automation systems
- Chillers, dryers, compressors, and conveyors
- Plant electrical and mechanical systems
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
Tooling & Mold Management- Oversee mold maintenance, mold repair, and tooling readiness.
- Establish preventive maintenance schedules for molds and tooling.
- Coordinate mold changeovers and ensure tooling availability for production.
- Manage mold trials, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to reduce tooling-related defects.
- Coordinate with external mold makers and tooling suppliers when required.
Team Leadership- Supervise maintenance technicians, mold technicians, and tooling personnel.
- Provide technical training and performance coaching.
- Ensure staffing coverage for all production shifts when necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement- Drive TPM
- Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reduce downtime.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities related to maintenance and tooling operations.
- Implement predictive maintenance technologies and best practices.
Budget & Vendor Management- Work with leadership team to manage maintenance and tooling budgets.
- Control tooling repair costs and spare parts expenditures.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers.
- Manage contractor work and external maintenance support.
QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Technical diploma with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
Experience- 5-10+ years of maintenance and tooling experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molds and mold maintenance practices.
Technical Skills- Knowledge of injection molding processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and tooling blueprints.

Working Conditions- Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
- May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call support.

must pass a pre-employment background check. Compensation and Benefits:Pay Range: $95,000- $115,000.00 (Pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
