Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in mainframe development with expertise in DB2, CICS, and JCL
• Familiarity with Focus Tools such as Changeman and IBM debugging tools
• Proven problem-solving skills with strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
• Experience in software delivery lifecycle with a focus on requirements gathering and design
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Railroad domain knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze mainframe applications using DB2, CICS, and JCL
• Implement batch processes and utilize Focus Tools for application maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly to support business operations
• Communicate effectively with global teams to ensure project success
• Prioritize tasks based on business impact and urgency
• Perform routine application support and security reviews
• Contribute to testing efforts and assist in quality assurance
