Full Job Description
Job Summary: This position is located at the Milliken - Magnolia Plant located in Blacksburg, SC and reports to the Process Improvement Leader. The position is responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts at the site as well as working closely with the Engineering Services Department. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, due to continuous operations of the plant, the work schedule may require arriving before 8:00 am, staying beyond 5:00 pm, and participation in the management team weekend rotation schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the process improvement team, including other managers and technical production associates, for their designated department
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the conditions that impact the processes and products
  • Use sound project management skills to manage multiple improvement projects
  • Analyze problems and implement practical solutions using critical thinking skills
  • Incorporate creative thinking to problem solving to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
  • Prepare presentations, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of associates
  • Strive to develop all direct reports
  • Work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
  • Participate fully in the Safety Process
  • Other duties assigned by manager


Qualifications Required:
  • 5 plus years of hands on manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop and mentor team members


Qualifications Preferred:
  • Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering major
  • Previous process reliability experience
