  • Buffalo, NY * Be part of an exciting journey as we prepare for production at our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP).

  • Salary Range: $69,000 - $99,000

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Your role
Machine Maintenance Leader, ensures that maintenance activities and production equipment at the site are in accordance with legal, quality and safety requirements. Leads the maintenance department team so that maximum capability and operability of machines and production equipment is achieved. Cooperates with other departments and external organizations providing service.

You will
  • Is responsible for compliance with the principles of work safety and fire protection, according to internal and legislative regulations, by all maintenance workers and external suppliers.
  • Manages the activities of the maintenance team in reactive, deferred, preventive and predictive maintenance of production machines and equipment.
  • Leads the maintenance team with a focus on maximum operability of production machines and equipment. Responsible for keeping records of maintenance, services, consumption of spare parts, revisions, inspections and costs.
  • Orders and coordinates external (supplier) service activities with maintenance activities, internal resources, machine and equipment operation and company management.
  • Is responsible for the registration of production machines and equipment, the completeness of their accompanying documentation and the setting of their maintenance plan.
  • Analyses malfunctions and faults, then proposes and implements corrective measures into the maintenance plan for production facilities.
  • Reports the established indicators (KPI) and the status of projects to the maintenance department on regular basis to the superior.
  • As part of his mandate, ensures for reserved technical devices controls, revisions and other activities to ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Keeps records of these devices. Is responsible for their inspection and elimination of detected defects.
  • Manages the warehouse of spare parts for the service of production machines and equipment, is responsible for their correct quantity and availability.
  • Participates in the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of TPM.
  • Collaborates on VTPS projects to increase the safety, quality and efficiency of the production process.
  • Seeks and implements improvements in processes, costs and maintenance activities as part of continuous improvement. Collaborates on KAIZENS.
  • Processes and monitors the competence of maintenance workers and, if necessary, proposes a training plan. Is responsible for their training, motivation and talent development and correct attendance processing.
  • Promotes a team culture focused on company values, conducts annual evaluations of maintenance staff, proposes rewards and salary adjustments.

  • High school/GED, electric field of study - machine maintenance or engineering
  • Minimum 3 yrs of experience in a similar position in the field of machine and equipment servicing in an engineering company including a proven team management

  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in a leadership or team lead role
