Job SummaryCoordinates, supervises and assists in the delivery of resident care in accordance with DPH & OBRA regulations in medium-sized long term care facility. Acts as support and resource person for nurses and unit managers regarding resident consultation, staffing. Responsible for staff supervision of CNAs, as well as interfacing with physician staff for planning and implementing nursing care for long-term and acutely ill geriatric residents, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. Works closely with the DON to constantly improve the quality of resident care and services provided by your team. Assists in training, evaluation and retention of staff. Interacts with families and conducts interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
Qualifications- Current MA LPN/RN License - in good standing
- Minimum 2-4 years experience, preferably in a LTC setting
- Nursing management experience required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.
- Proficient computer skills. Experience with electronic medical records.
- Demonstrates the role of supervisor in a professional and courteous manner.
- Patience, compassion, and a desire to work with the elderly.
Salary Range $37.50 to $48 depending credentials, experience and worked shifts
