Low-Code Systems Developer

Position Summary

The Low-Code Systems Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business applications and workflow solutions using approved low-code development platforms. This role serves as a key contributor to digital transformation initiatives by automating business processes, integrating enterprise systems, and delivering scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

The ideal candidate combines technical development skills with strong business analysis capabilities and has experience working with low-code platforms, system integrations, workflow automation, and enterprise applications. The Low-Code Systems Developer works closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and IT teams to deliver innovative and secure technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Application & Solution Development

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using low-code platforms.
  • Create forms, workflows, dashboards, business rules, and user interfaces to support operational and business needs.
  • Configure and customize enterprise application platforms to meet business requirements.
  • Develop reusable components and standardized development practices.
  • Support application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Systems Integration & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
  • Ensure data integrity, reliability, and security across interconnected systems.
  • Participate in data migration, transformation, and validation efforts.
  • Troubleshoot integration and data flow issues across multiple platforms.

Business Process Automation

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement workflow automation solutions that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process redesign and technology enablement.

Support & Maintenance

  • Provide ongoing support for production applications and workflows.
  • Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in application upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of system incidents.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, support procedures, and deployment documentation.
  • Adhere to organizational development, security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews, architecture reviews, and change management processes.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and supporting business applications or workflow automation solutions.
  • Experience with one or more low-code platforms such as: 
    • Microsoft Power Platform
    • Appian
    • ServiceNow
  • Experience integrating applications using REST APIs, web services, and enterprise data sources.
  • Experience within healthcare, public safety, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
