Job Title: Senior Loss Prevention / Process Safety Engineer III

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Loss Prevention / Process Safety Engineer III to support major capital projects and facility upgrades for a leading energy operator. This position will play a critical role in identifying project and process risks, evaluating engineering designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and developing practical solutions that protect personnel, assets, and the environment.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, Risk Assessment, and Engineering Design Review. Candidates from the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Industrial Manufacturing, Power Generation, Construction, or related industries are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate engineering designs for new construction projects and modifications to existing facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, regulatory requirements, and recognized safety practices.
  • Assess project and operational risks and help develop effective mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment activities, including process safety reviews and loss prevention studies.
  • Evaluate engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure technical quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate effective execution of engineering and design activities in alignment with project objectives and schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding process safety, loss prevention, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Communicate engineering progress, concerns, and recommendations with project teams, operations personnel, and leadership.
  • Support project execution while adapting to changing priorities, schedules, and business needs.
  • Travel to field locations in the Permian Basin as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, Risk Management, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) background.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Experience reviewing engineering designs and facility modifications for safety compliance.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification processes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced project environments.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Details

Pay: W2 with electable benefits -$140.00/per hr

Location: Spring, TX

Schedule: Monday to Friday; some travel required (fully reimbursed business travel)
