Description

SAIC is looking for a TACP Logistics Team Manager to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts. The position involves daily tracking of daily and long-term schedules, daily tasking and system testing, and interface with government program leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk.
  • Implementation of financial policies and procedures in support of projects; establishment and maintenance of cost/schedule baselines; development of WBS and related dictionaries, schedules and budgets; performs related variance analyses; and preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances.
  • This position will have significant interface with Branch Manager, project leads and other personnel.
  • Directly supervises individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support) and/or entry-level professionals (accountants, entry-level engineers).
  • Responsible for the managing and coordination of all TACP portfolio operations and staff as well as for overall program organization.
  • Director of short- and long-term program planning/scheduling.
  • Must be able to: organize resources to ensure effective production/integration of products services, prioritize and direct tasking, resolve problems, prepare schedules and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Will also be tasked with reviewing, analyzing, and preparing reports, records, and directives
  • Will assign delegate responsibility for specified work or functional activities and provide tasking to staff.
  • Must also establish the control of technical milestones, schedules, and weekly/monthly status reports.
  • Attend program/projects meetings and report status

Job Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and six (6) years or more of related experience; associate's degree with at least 13 years' experience performing logistics for the DoW. Additional years of military experience in COMSEC and logistics for the DoW may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience preforming project management.
  • Proficient with computers and experienced in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Secret clearance is required to start.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
