  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Shipping & Receiving Team, including employee training and evaluation.

Full Job Description
Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor. This position will be located at our Rumford, RI facility.

The Logistics Supervisor will direct the activities of the storerooms, receiving area, and shipping to ensure material is expeditiously issued, received, and shipped to help meet on time delivery.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
• Maintain accurate computerized storeroom records of all material movement and storage.
• Preserve minimum Storeroom accuracy of 95% and Raw Material accuracy of 90%.
• Ensure material is pulled and issued in sufficient time to meet work order start dates.
• Maintain FIFO of Inventory Control and good housekeeping / safety standards.
• Maintain highly accurate cycle counting system.
• Coordinate with the Machine Shop, Production Planning, Purchasing and Assembly to minimize WIP inventories.
• Maintain inventory of age control material and assist Quality with customer audits.
• Assist Accounting in performing quarterly inventory audit and removal of E&O material.
• Guarantee local deliveries and pickups are made as needed.
• Advise Customer Service when making shipping decisions that will affect customer delivery.
• Responsibility for all aspects of shipping customer orders, such as shipping paperwork and customer invoicing process.
• Assist in resolving receiving discrepancies as they relate to Outside Processing, PO receipts, and planner support.
• Manage Shipping & Receiving Team, responsible for day-to-day direction, cross-training, motivation and evaluating employees so they, as a team, accomplish the foregoing tasks in a business-like, efficient and professional manner.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR Associate's degree from an accredited institution AND a minimum of three (3) years of people leadership experience within a manufacturing environment OR Military experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in a supply chain or operations role within a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Rumford, RI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics or Inventory Control from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• CPIM or CLTD certification.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Information:
• Knowledge of ERP / MRP, Accounting / Finance principles and spreadsheet software.
