Overview

Job Summary

 

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Support Specialist to support the United States Space Force (USSF) and its mission-critical operations.

 

In this role, you will provide senior-level logistics expertise, guidance, and recommendations to support program and mission requirements. Responsibilities include supporting Government property management, logistics documentation, reporting, acquisition activities, and life cycle logistics processes.

 

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented logistics professional with extensive experience in DoD logistics, acquisition, Government property management, and procurement processes, with the ability to support complex programs and long-term mission objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Logistics Operations Specialist L3 Skills and Experience:

  • Provide logistics expertise and support for U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force programs and operations
  • Support logistics activities throughout the acquisition and program life cycle, ensuring mission and operational requirements are met
  • Apply DoD, Air Force, and Space Force logistics policies, processes, practices, and guidelines to program activities
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate logistics and program risks that may impact cost, schedule, performance, or mission readiness
  • Provide logistics analysis, recommendations, and guidance to program teams, government stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Support logistics planning and coordination in alignment with U.S. Space Force mission objectives and stakeholder priorities
Requirements

Skills and Experience

 

The Logistics Operations Support Specialist must have:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
  • 5+ years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) logistics experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of life cycle logistics and acquisition activities across multiple phases of the acquisition life cycle
  • Experience with Air Force and/or Space Force logistics operations, policies, processes, and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of logistics risk management, sustainment, and mission support processes
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. Space Force organizational structure, mission objectives, and stakeholder priorities
  • Experience supporting and engaging with senior and executive-level defense stakeholders

Education and Certifications

 

The Logistics Operations Support Specialist must meet the following:

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant job experience in being a staff officer

Security Clearance

 

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

 

Physical Requirements

 

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.

 

The final salary offered within the posted range will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.

Posted Salary RangeUSD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
