Full Job Description
The Logistics Manager at the Channelview Manufacturing Complex plays a critical leadership role within one of LyondellBasell's largest integrated production sites. Supporting a multi-unit, high-volume petrochemical facility, this position is responsible for ensuring seamless logistics operations that enable safe, efficient, and reliable movement of raw materials and finished products. The role partners closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and corporate teams to support the site's commitment to operational excellence, GoalZERO performance, and continuous improvement.

The Logistics Manager is accountable for leading all logistics activities across the Channelview site, including truck transportation, rail and barge operations, and distribution processes supporting both O&P and I&D production assets. This role ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective logistics performance while aligning logistics strategy with site production demands and business objectives. The position is part of the site extended leadership team.

This position reports to the I&D Site Operations Manager, and
• Will manage 9 direct reports (Specialists, Schedulers, Technicians)
• Contractor workforce supporting logistics operations of around 100 employees
• Work closely with key stakeholder such as Operations Managers, Maintenance and Reliability Teams, Quality and Laboratory Organizations, Corporate Logistics and Supply Chain Teams, and external service providers

A Day in the Life
• Lead and develop logistics teams through coaching and mentoring
• Foster a strong safety culture aligned with GoalZERO
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality and corporate teams
• Oversee rail fleet management and logistics operations
• Oversee rail and barge maintenance activities
• Coordinate logistics switching operations
• Manage a large contingent of contractor bulk handling resources
• Set and translate strategies into actionable logistics plans
• Manage budgets and provide input into capital plans
• Establish and monitor KPI's and develop plans to meet or exceed the KPI's
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies and regulations
• Build internal and external partnerships
• Promote workforce development
• Ensure the Code of Conduct, and all other Company policies are consistently and fairly administered

You Bring This Value
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field with typically 8-10 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 15 years of experience in the petrochemical or a similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree.
