Job Description:
As a Logistics Manager at Safran Electronics & Defense - Actuation, you will oversee, coordinate, and measure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and finished products. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth supply chain operation, compliance to Export and Trade Regulations, and timely delivery of goods to our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day logistics activities, primarily including shipping, receiving, and paperwork generation
• Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
• Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
o Develop and implement improved logistics strategies to optimize processes, costs, and timelines
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and safety standards
• Manage logistics documentation, customs clearance, and related administrative tasks
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects within the supply chain
• Hands on role including processing shipping transactions in SAP
• Troubleshoot and resolve transactional and documentation issues
• Supervise 1 or more Logistics Coordinators

3. Physical Requirements
The role requires sitting for extended periods, occasional standing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Clear vision for detailed work is needed, and the environment is generally quiet.
Candidate skills & requirements
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
• 5+ years proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution management, ideally within the aerospace or industrial sector
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Strong working knowledge of ERP(SAP) systems
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel
• Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem solving
Preferred
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus
• Previous export experience preferred.
