Full Job Description
The Logistics Manager provides leadership, coordination, and strategic guidance for fleet and transportation operations across the organization. This role partners with individual Business Units to support compliance, safety, and efficiency initiatives while fostering consistency and best practices enterprise-wide. The manager serves as a resource and subject matter expert, empowering each unit to operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company values and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Business Units to guide and support fleet management operations, including leasing, maintenance, fuel programs, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide expertise on DOT, FMCSR, multi-state, and company safety regulations. Communicate regulatory changes and assist Business Units in updating their own policies and procedures.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Business Units, third-party logistics partners, and regulatory agencies to align efforts and share best practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all Business Units by facilitating training, sharing resources, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and assist with safety and compliance audits, providing tools, guidance, and follow-up support to ensure local adherence to environmental, legal, and corporate standards.
  • Monitor organization-wide fleet and logistics dashboards to identify trends, promote transparency, and share data-driven insights that support local decision-making.
  • Support driver onboarding and training processes by providing resources, conducting MVR adjudication, and assisting Business Units with orientation best practices.
  • Maintain centralized oversight of travel, inspection, and maintenance documentation to support compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a key contact for issue resolution, providing advice and resources to help Business Units address operational challenges effectively.
  • Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for the company's various Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ensuring consistent data integrity and system performance across Business Units.
  • Support decentralized TMS users by configuring workflows, routing guides, and carrier profiles in collaboration with local teams.
  • Lead cross-functional TMS enhancement projects focused on automation, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
  • Administers OTM freight invoice workflows, including carrier billing oversight, invoice validation, exception handling, and collaboration with internal teams to maintain accurate transportation cost reporting.
  • Oversees fuel tax management, including data collection, reconciliation, and preparation of state and federal fuel tax reports to ensure full regulatory compliance.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation or logistics management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred). Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in various transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
