Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Logistics, the Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team that oversees the safe, efficient, and customer-focused scheduling, dispatching, and delivery operations. This role leads delivery logistics, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with Superior Propane's mission, values, and customer experience goals.

The Logistics Manager will champion safety, data integrity, and standardized processes while fostering a collaborative team environment. They will act as a key liaison between regional managers, field operations, supply chain, and customer experience teams to drive performance, optimize resource utilization, and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Regional Managers, and Field Operations to gather feedback and implement strategic improvements in logistics and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other Logistics Managers to develop, deploy, and maintain best practices and standardized procedures across regions.
  • Actively contribute to the Regional Management Team and support sales and marketing initiatives to drive incremental service work.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of delivery coordinators.
  • Ensure optimal asset and resource utilization, and meet customer service KPIs.
  • Champion the use of technology and routing software to maximize delivery efficiency and safety.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend proactive and reactive operational responses.
  • Liaise with supply teams to forecast demand and coordinate fuel requirements.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain a motivated and competent workforce.
  • Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, and foster positive employee engagement.
  • Promote desired work methods and behaviors to continuously improve team performance.
  • Act as an escalation point to remove obstacles and support issue resolution across logistics and service teams.
  • Reinforce safety protocols in all aspects of delivery and service operations.
  • Ensure appropriate training and adherence to emergency response procedures and regulatory standards.

What you bring:
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent training, preferably in logistics, distribution, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of operational management experience in logistics, distribution, or energy-related environments.
  • Proven leadership in managing high-performance teams, with strong coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills, including budget and resource management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in routing and logistics software and understanding of data integrity and performance analytics.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, strong analytical thinking, and collaborative leadership to manage complex, high-impact challenges.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to balance regional and national objectives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Excel, Access, Outlook, and routing/mapping software.
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset.

Salary: $82,300 - $102,800 annually (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
