As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serving as primary focal point for USTRANSCOM Global Bulk Fuel Management & Delivery Single Manager authority for the assigned Combatant Command (CCMD).
- Collaborating with key military and civilian stakeholders to ensure bulk fuel strategies are incorporated into planning and aligned with strategic goals, plans and objectives.
- Representing the USTRANSCOM Single Manager and serving as authoritative expert and focal point for bulk fuel planning to the assigned CCMD.
- Serving as an authoritative expert and focal point for USTRANSCOM bulk fuel posture to the assigned CCMD.
- Establishing and guiding the assigned CCMD Petroleum Integration Cell (PIC) in collaboration with the Joint Petroleum Officer and DLA-Energy Liaison.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Developing and assessing courses of actions affecting bulk fuel equities.
- Providing vision, direction, oversight, and perspective on all major bulk fuel policy issues, strategic planning, and leadership initiatives.
- Collecting, analyzing, and providing recommendations to effectively assess and validate Operational Plans (OPLAN) requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Additional informationThis position is designated as KEY: The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve.This position is designated as MISSION ESSENTIAL performing a Mission Critical Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
