The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an 848 SCMG Weapon System Logistics Officer, providing accurate supply chain logistics information and updates on assigned Weapon System components. Briefing status of complex activities in support of assigned Weapon Systems to senior leadership, forming and leading IPTs, coordinating with and organizing across multiple organizations to obtain information and formulate solutions for optimum Warfighter support, and providing analysis and reports of various metrics to internal customers. Seen as the "face to the customer" of the 848th Supply Chain Management Group.

DUTIES:

Duty 1. Serves as a logistics project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation.

Duty 2. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.

Duty 3. Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.

Duty 4. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
• May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty

1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.

4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.

5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
