The Opportunity:
The Logistics manager will perform professional-level logistics management functions supporting government programs and operations. The Logistics manager will be responsible for the flow of materials for the organization including receiving, packaging, and shipping of product. Together with other team members, this individual will engage in the direction of the team by coordinating efforts, completing training, communicating status, and promoting change to improve team performance. This role is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of government and contractor-managed assets, including acquisition planning, inventory oversight, internal distribution, transportation coordination (domestic and international), and disposition activities. The position emphasizes independent judgment, analytical decision-making, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, accountability, and operational efficiency. This role requires the ability to independently assess logistics needs, resolve complex issues, and recommend process improvements in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives supplies, materials and equipment. Arrange and Prepare products for shipment using most economical and efficient packing and shipping methods to ensure safe delivery
  • Performs and/or directs timely and efficient movement of inventory and error-free entry of all related transactions into COLTS Inventory Management System
  • Ensure materials are stored and moved safely within the facility
  • Use of equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and various corporate vehicles
  • Ability to obtain a corporate credit card and process payment for services provided
  • Plan and carry out local deliveries using corporate equipment
  • Meets productivity work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe
  • Effective communication with internal and external shareholders
  • Works independently with limited supervision
