Intuitive Machines- West is looking for a Global Logistics Launch Base & Dock Receiving Specialist based in our San Jose, CA location. You will be responsible for supporting the safe movement, staging, receiving, handling, and transportation of high-value, sensitive equipment. This role ensures efficient logistics operations by coordinating shipment activities, maintaining accurate inventory records within the ERP system, receiving inbound materials, supporting launch operations, and maintaining warehouse safety and organization. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly to transportation and logistics challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Launch Operations
  • Support equipment staging, packaging, handling, secure, and band loads to ensure the safe transportation of sensitive and high-value components.
  • Load and unload sensitive, oversized, and high-value equipment using proper material handling techniques.
  • Assist with shipment planning, preparation, execution, and delivery activities to and from suppliers, including the launch site
  • Coordinate transportation activities while ensuring all shipment requirements and deliverables are clearly understood and communicated with the carriers and drivers, including optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Escort critical hardware between facilities or to the launch site while maintaining communication with internal stakeholders throughout transport.
  • Travel to domestic and international launch sites via ground, air, or sea for 10 days to 3 weeks to support launch operations and equipment deployment.
  • Support loading/offloading, installation, and setup of equipment at shipment origin or destinations.
  • Resolve transportation and logistics issues in real time with sound judgment and accountability.
  • Follow transportation procedures, work instructions, and documentation to ensure traceability and repeatability.
  • Understand rigging principles, center of gravity (CG), and safe lifting practices for sensitive equipment.

Dock Receiving
  • Manage daily dock receiving operations and process inbound shipments accurately.
  • Receive materials into the ERP system while verifying quantities against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all required receiving documentation is complete and available for Quality Inspection.
  • Inspect incoming hardware for shipping damage and report discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and material traceability.

Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of logistics and transportation equipment.
  • Research replacement parts, suppliers, and maintenance solutions when repairs are required.
  • Ensure material handling equipment remains operational and compliant with safety standards.

Warehouse Operations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse areas.
  • Ensuring all equipment is recorded, tracked, and maintained withing our warehouse database.
  • Remove debris, empty pallets, packaging materials, and other waste from work areas.
  • Maintain all warehouse and dock operations in accordance with 5S Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and operational excellence.


Required Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using ERP systems for receiving inventory or warehouse transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree, or four additional years of work experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and working in warehouse, dock, and field environments.
  • Must be able to stand for extended period
  • Must be able to work extended and different shifts to support work
  • Must be able to travel at minimum 15% of the time.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or high-tech logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, shipping documentation, and receiving processes.
  • Understanding of rigging, lifting practices, and center of gravity principles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Experience handling sensitive, high-value, or mission-critical equipment.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures.
  • Forklift certification

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $70,000.00 - $116,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
