The Opportunity

This role works directly with USTRANSCOM stakeholders and mission partners supporting strategic mobility, global posture, and transportation infrastructure planning. It is an opportunity to apply logistics and infrastructure analysis expertise to assess critical airfield and seaport nodes, analyze historical cargo movements, and develop actionable recommendations supporting global mobility operations.

Work is primarily performed on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, supporting government and contractor teams in mission-focused environments.
Position Summary

C5T is seeking a Logistics Infrastructure Analyst to support strategic mobility and global posture initiatives aligned with USTRANSCOM objectives. This position provides analytical expertise supporting the development and sustainment of the En Route Infrastructure Master Plan (ERIMP), the USTRANSCOM Posture Plan, and related modeling and decision-support efforts.

The Logistics Infrastructure Analyst will collect, aggregate, analyze, and assess logistics infrastructure data, including airfield and seaport characteristics, historical cargo movements, force posture, and relevant country-level economic and geopolitical factors. The analyst will use this information to evaluate critical transportation nodes, identify infrastructure and posture gaps, and develop recommendations that inform infrastructure investment and mobility planning decisions.

This role requires strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex operational and quantitative information into clear, actionable products for senior leaders and stakeholders.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain access to and proficiency with historical cargo movement databases and systems, including the Single Mobility System (SMS) and Global Decision Support System (GDSS).
• Collect, aggregate, validate, and analyze logistics infrastructure and historical cargo movement data in support of strategic mobility planning.
• Provide analytical support for nodal site assessments, including use of the Analysis of Mobility Platform (AMP) Airfield Simulation Tool to evaluate airfield capabilities, identify constraints, and develop recommendations to improve military support.
• Conduct or support airfield and seaport site surveys and assessments as required.
• Build and maintain a repository of nodal reports and support dissemination of ERIMP products through NGA Google Earth servers, Intellipedia, and other approved government platforms.
• Support ERIMP product review and configuration processes by developing and maintaining comment resolution matrices and managing incorporation of approved changes.
• Collect and analyze data related to force posture, operational footprint, infrastructure, and agreement gaps in support of the USTRANSCOM Posture Plan.
• Apply Logical Decisions for Windows and other commercial or government-approved analytical and decision-support tools to evaluate posture and infrastructure alternatives.
• Develop point papers, issue papers, briefings, and other decision-support products using nodal assessments, historical cargo data, and infrastructure analysis to inform investment decisions at key USTRANSCOM nodes.
• Identify infrastructure limitations, capability gaps, trends, and potential risks affecting strategic mobility operations.
• Prepare clear, concise written reports, briefings, presentations, and analytical products for senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with government customers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to validate data, findings, and recommendations.
• Maintain supporting documentation, data repositories, analytical methodologies, and configuration-controlled products.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, operations research, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, infrastructure analysis, mobility planning, or a related field.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational, logistics, or infrastructure data.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex analytical findings to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with government customers, mission partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting USTRANSCOM, Air Mobility Command (AMC), or Department of War mobility missions.
• Familiarity with the En Route Infrastructure Master Plan (ERIMP) or global posture planning processes.
• Experience using the Single Mobility System (SMS), Global Decision Support System (GDSS), or related transportation and mobility systems.
• Experience conducting or supporting airfield or seaport assessments and site surveys.
• Experience with the Analysis of Mobility Platform (AMP) Airfield Simulation Tool.
• Experience with Logical Decisions for Windows or similar decision-analysis software.
• Knowledge of commercial off-the-shelf analytical tools and decision-support software.
• Experience developing point papers, issue papers, executive briefings, or other analytical products for senior military or government stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Department of War transportation, logistics, infrastructure, or global mobility programs.
