Logistics Engineer

Location: East Peoria, IL (SS) (On-site 5 days per week required)
Travel: Up to 5%

Caterpillar's Resource Industries Operations and Products Division is currently seeking a Logistics Engineer for its East Peoria, IL facility. In this role, you will take ownership of the kitting processes, leading efforts to optimize material flow and ensure operational excellence. While working closely with our 3PL partners who manage day-to-day tasks, you will oversee the processes and provide detailed analysis to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This independent contributor position focuses on process ownership, problem-solving, and strategic planning rather than direct supervision. You will work to meet Caterpillar's goals in People/Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost and play a key role in the success of our operations. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
  • Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
  • Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
  • Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
