Caterpillar's Resource Industries Operations and Products Division is currently seeking a Logistics Engineer for its East Peoria, IL facility. In this role, you will take ownership of the kitting processes, leading efforts to optimize material flow and ensure operational excellence. While working closely with our 3PL partners who manage day-to-day tasks, you will oversee the processes and provide detailed analysis to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This independent contributor position focuses on process ownership, problem-solving, and strategic planning rather than direct supervision. You will work to meet Caterpillar's goals in People/Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost and play a key role in the success of our operations. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
- Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
- Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
- Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
Top Candidates Will Have:- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/business from an accredited college or university
- Prior experience in SAP Mach1
- Previous experience in other Logistics/Supply Chain roles
- Demonstrated understanding of factory material flow and assembly production operations
- Knowledge of NPI and Engineering Change Processes
- Strong technical and data analysis skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to influence
- Experience using computers and Microsoft Office programs

Summary Pay Range:$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
