Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist to support a federal government customer in Maryland. This role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage inventory operations in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management Execution — Implement and execute asset-management strategies, policies, and quality practices with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with the customer’s policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Tracking — Maintain accurate counts of all products, materials, and supplies across storage locations, ensuring real-time visibility into stock levels.
  • Requisition & Order Tracking — Track requisitions and orders through receipt, leveraging the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) for receiving, inventory management, full asset accountability, and proper end-of-life disposal.
  • Warehouse Collaboration — Work closely with warehouse teams to optimize storage, organize inventory, and maintain efficient material flow.
  • Shipment Verification — Inspect and verify incoming shipments, document variances, and formally issue items to end users.
  • Supplier Coordination — Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, damaged goods, and returns.
  • Process Measurement & Improvement — Measure and improve asset-management processes, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Workflow & System Enhancements — Recommend and implement improvements to inventory workflows, storage methods, and tracking systems.
  • Storage Area Maintenance — Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient storage areas to support effective inventory operations.

*This position requires full-time, onsite attendance Monday through Friday in the Baltimore metropolitan area. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. However, an additional four years of experience can be considered in lieu of a BS/BA degree. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Supply System as well as automated and manual supply systems and equipment serviceability standards and criteria.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization.
  • Detail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.
  • Customer service oriented professional.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • SCI clearance eligibility.
  • Experience with the GPC program.
  • Experience with government lifecycle management.
  • Experience with managing budgets.
Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
