Full Job Description
F2 Finance is seeking an experienced Loan Portfolio Manager to lead day-to-day management of our active loan portfolio, with a focus on borrower follow-up, maturity management, extensions, workouts, and enforcement. This is a high-impact, execution-focused role for someone who has managed a book of private, real estate-backed bridge loans and can bring structure, judgment, and initiative to loan-level outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Portfolio management: maturities, extensions, and performance
  • Maintain an active maturity calendar and proactively drive renewal, payoff, or exit plans well in advance of maturity.
  • Lead the extension workflow end-to-end, including borrower communication, collecting required documentation, coordinating with counsel, and managing execution of extension agreements.
  • Own borrower communications around upcoming payments, late payments, delinquencies, and loan status updates.
  • Drive clear resolution plans and timelines for loans that are impaired or trending that way, including borrower engagement and accountability.

Workout, exit, and legal process management
  • Negotiate practical paths to repayment or exit, including restructuring or forbearance approaches when appropriate.
  • Recommend and coordinate enforcement actions where needed, with clear documentation and decision support for leadership.
  • Instruct foreclosure counsel when required and manage the process, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee external attorneys and vendors, and track key milestones and legal spend.

Credit partnership, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with the Credit team on portfolio analysis and performance monitoring (watchlists, risk flags, trends).
  • Support loan tape reporting and portfolio updates for internal stakeholders and investors.
  • Help iterate and improve credit policy by incorporating learnings from portfolio performance into underwriting and servicing processes.
  • Maintain strong documentation and internal reporting so leadership has clear visibility and the portfolio is managed in a repeatable way.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4-8 years of experience in private lending, hard money, residential bridge lending, real estate finance, servicing, or workouts. Direct experience managing delinquencies, extensions, and enforcement processes is strongly preferred.
  • Initiative and judgment: A self-starter who can take ownership of outcomes, raise issues early, and bring solutions, while working closely with leadership and taking guidance when needed.
  • Communication: Strong borrower communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult conversations firmly and professionally.
  • Organization: Excellent tracking discipline across many simultaneous loans, deadlines, and counterparties.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Benefits
  • 10 days paid holiday
  • medical insurance
  • parking in our building
  • snacks, good coffee and weekly office lunches
