A growing financial institution is seeking an experienced and strategic Loan Center Manager to lead its consumer lending operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:- Loan Center Manager will lead and oversee all consumer lending operations, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio management.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase loan growth while maintaining sound credit quality and operational efficiency.
- Monitor loan portfolio performance, delinquency trends, charge-offs, and overall lending profitability.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to lending staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service.
- Optimize loan processing workflows and underwriting practices to improve turnaround times and enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support new lending initiatives, resolve operational issues, and improve service delivery.
- Analyze market trends, lending performance, and competitive products to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present operational, financial, and portfolio reports for executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all lending policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, loan documentation, and audit readiness.
- Lead departmental training and professional development initiatives to strengthen employee performance and engagement.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by implementing operational enhancements and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders while promoting exceptional customer service.
- Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of consumer lending experience within a financial institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending operations, underwriting, portfolio management, and loan servicing.
- Thorough understanding of banking and consumer lending regulations, including BSA, AML, OFAC, CIP, Fair Lending, and related compliance requirements.
- Experience interpreting financial statements, tax returns, and credit analysis.
- Proven leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and financial operating systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as business needs require.
- Loan Center Manager must have experience leading consumer lending operations within a credit union or community financial institution.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and operational performance metrics.
- Demonstrated success driving loan growth while maintaining strong credit quality and compliance standards.
