Lending | Sector Based & Specialized Lending | Loan Administration, Associate | NYC
About the position:
This role sits within ING’s Sector Based & Specialized Lending (“SB&SL”) Front Office and forms part of the newly established Deal Implementation Team. The Loan Administration Analyst will support live lending transactions from credit approval through closing, booking and completion of post-closing requirements.
The position offers an entry point into corporate lending for early-career candidates. Analysts will develop a strong understanding of ING’s lending systems, transaction pipeline and credit process while working closely with lending structurers, sector bankers, Risk, Legal, Loan Closing and Agency. As their knowledge and capabilities develop, Analysts will gain exposure to broader elements of transaction execution and the credit process.
Responsibilities :
- Supporting the closing, booking and post-closing implementation of lending transactions across SB&SL and sector coverage including Project Finance, Export Finance, Asset-Based Lending, and Financial Institutions among others;
- Maintaining the lending pipeline and deal trackers, including transaction status, anticipated closing dates and outstanding requirements;
- Coordinating with lending structurers, sector bankers, Risk, Legal, Loan Closing, Agency and other internal stakeholders;
- Obtaining and organizing closing materials, supporting documentation and final closing sets;
- Tracking closing conditions, signatory requirements, due diligence items, waivers and other outstanding actions;
- Preparing required closing and agency packages and completing initial reviews of booking and control forms;
- Supporting the accurate booking and activation of lending transactions in internal systems;
- Completing post-closing activities, including covenant registration, transaction database updates and handover materials;
- Maintaining complete, accurate and audit-ready transaction records; and
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and increase execution efficiency.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities;
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions, priorities and deadlines;
- Relevant internship or work experience in banking, credit, accounting, legal services / documentation or financial services preferred;
- 2+ years of middle office experience within banking preferred;
- Demonstrated interest in corporate banking, lending, credit or deal execution;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Committed and collaborative team player with high standards for quality and timeliness; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Salary Range $85,000-$107,000
The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
