Position Overview

Are you a strategic relationship builder with a passion for growing energy markets? Join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding LNG demand across marine bunkering and export sectors. You will identify new business opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, cultivate key customer relationships, and deliver market insights that drive business growth and position LNG as a preferred fuel and export solution.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and execute business development initiatives to grow LNG demand across marine bunkering and export markets, including customer acquisition and market expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, regulators, and port authorities to support LNG market growth and adoption.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, including demand forecasting, competitive assessments, pricing analysis, and monitoring of industry and regulatory trends.
  • Support the development and negotiation of commercial agreements by coordinating leading contract development, financial analysis, legal review, and customer engagement.
  • Manage key customer accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction, retention, and value creation through effective account management and commercial oversight.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, maintain CRM data and performance metrics, and identify new opportunities to strengthen FortisBC's LNG value proposition.
  • Provide commercial and customer insights to support LNG infrastructure and project development initiatives, including the Tilbury expansion projects.


What it takes:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or commerce or equivalent from a recognized program.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the energy or utility, shipping or bunkering industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Working knowledge of the gas utility's regulated business model, techno economics of LNG infrastructure
  • Knowledge of contracts and service agreements and the ability to interpret and integrate complex technical and contract information.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
