THE POSITION IS COMPENSATED ACCORDING TO AN ESTABLISHED WAGE GRID, WITH PROGRESSION THROUGH THE STEPS OCCURRING IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE POLICIES UNTIL REACHING THE MAXIMUM OF THE SALARY RANGE.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Director, Interprofessional Practice, Ethics & Education, the successful candidate will support in the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management within Niagara Health. The successful candidate will have experience with the management of an LMS and Policies system across a large multi-site hospital system or similar organization. The role will assist with developing and maintaining learning content using content creation tools, along with the infrastructure that will support, guide and assist course developers and subject maters experts to acquire product familiarity and the ability to create a variety of e-Learning materials using best-practices within the LMS and Policy & Procedure management systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and Policy & Procedure management systems across Niagara Health
o Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engaging e-learning and blended learning solutions
o Collaborate with educators, leaders, and subject matter experts to develop learning content and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
o Provide technical support, guidance, and training to LMS users, course developers, and content owners
o Manage learning records, reporting, system configuration, and content deployment, ensuring compliance with established standards
o Develop and maintain resources, templates, and best practices to support consistent and effective learning design
o Monitor system performance and learning analytics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
o Support educational initiatives, projects, and organizational change efforts across a multi-site healthcare environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelors' degree in instructional Technology, Learning Technologies or related field or equivalent work experience
o Experience working in a health care setting
o Knowledge of theories, principles, methods and techniques relevant in the field of instructional technologies and the ability to translate the knowledge into engaging deliverables with a focus on e-learning
o Two to four years' experience in instructional design development of interactive, blended learning programs using multi-channel content creation, and delivery methodology
o Advanced knowledge in managing all functionalities of a learning management system in conjunction with SCORM, AICC and CM15 standards
o Advanced ability using Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
o Advanced ability to maneuver SharePoint sites and SharePoint workflows
o Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
o Excellent ability to develop content into engaging and accessible training and learning solutions
o Excellent ability to prepare and deliver presentations on digital media and multi-media related topics
o Excellent organizational, project management and coordination skills
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
